OWC oscillating suspensions ensure outstanding shock absorption of vibrating machines, such as screens, feeders, and driers.
The excellent performance of OWC oscillating suspensions results from their special shape, as well as the way the elastic torsional elements interact with the rubber inserts.
The resulting kinematic mechanism achieves a high vertical damping and a transversal stiffness equal to about 10 times the longitudinal stiffness (i.e., the feeding direction of the conveyed product). This results in improved efficiency of the conveying process. It also helps to avoid additional constructive measures of controlling the movement of the machine during the transient state of its shutdown process.
Two types of oscillating suspension are available, OWSNE (standard range, 7 sizes available) and OWSHD (heavy-duty range, 6 sizes available). Both types guarantee very low natural-frequency values close to 2 Hz. As a result, all variants of OWC oscillating suspensions achieve isolation levels from the supporting structure of the vibrating machine that are higher than 98%, even at minimum excitation frequencies. Additionally, both types have the same overall dimensions, making it possible to allow for a greater vertical maximum load by replacing OWSNE with OWSHD units.
Thanks to their mechanically simple working principle and the choice of materials, OWC oscillating suspensions can withstand pulse feed, are effectively maintenance-free without needing regular cleaning, are resistant to dust, water, and corrosion, and can operate for a long service life in environments with temperatures between -40 and +80°C.
